OUR MISSION

TO SHOW THE WORLD THE LIGHT OF CHRIST BY SHARING THE GOSPEL THROUGH GOOD WORKS AND CHRIST-HONORING RELATIONSHIPS.

  • Community

1 John 4:11 states, “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” Here at MTC we strive to live out this verse by cultivating and nurturing genuine community centered on God’s love for us. Whether it’s the workout, event, meal, or service opportunity, our goal is to share and show the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

  • Discipleship

We believe that discipleship is essential for spiritual growth. We focus on having genuine, intentional, and relational discipleship. Proverbs 27:17 reads, “Iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” We devote ourselves to growing spiritually both individually and as a collective group, sharpening each other as we go.

  • Service

As a young adult ministry, we enjoy having the energy and capability to serve our surrounding communities. We value being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Being a follower of Christ calls us to mirror His life. In Matthew 20:28, we find that Jesus “did not come to be served but to serve.” Further, 1 Peter 4:11 charges us to serve God for His glory. We happily choose to serve each other and those around us as we pursue Christ.

  • Excellence

Colossians 3:23 points us towards pursuing excellence in all that we do. Because of this and who God is (in what He’s done and what He continues to do for us) we believe that He deserves excellence.

On campuses or at events, individually and corporately, we strive to bring our work to the Lord with excellence.

  • Wellness

Having whole-body wellness equips us with the ability and energy to effectively carry out the Gospel message in all that we do. Both spiritual and physical wellness are focused on at MTC.

Through workout sessions and group runs, we aim to keep the physical body healthy. Through fellowship, discipleship and community, we aim to keep the spiritual body healthy.

    1 Cor. 6:19-20, Prov. 17:22, 1 Tim. 4:8.

  • Growth

We are committed to cultivating spaces for individuals to grow in their relationship with God and in their physical strength and endurance.

2 Peter 3:18 commands Christ followers to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. For this reason, we see growth as not only a goal, but as obedience to what God has asked us to do.

Growth is what we seek in our workouts and community.

  • Invitational

At the core of MTC is a simple belief: everyone is made in the image of God and therefore welcome. Jesus commands those who follow Him to go out, share the Gospel, and make disciples.

As we desire to grow in our faith, we want to share it with others! As MTC is rooted in God’s Word, we are devoted to being a disciple-making and minded community that carries out the Great Commission.
